Synopsis: Smart and beautiful, Susan has chosen a life dedicated to the sciences, determined to discover what happened to her and her brother while on an ill-fated space mission several years ago. While not introverted, Sue does keep to herself in most regards except when it comes to her family and the few close friends she has. She is extremely loyal to those close to her. She comes off as introverted seeing as she now spends most of her time elbow deep in research and science experiments. Outside of the lab, Susan is friendly and sociable, but because she doesn't leave the lab often, she has only a few close friends outside of the team.

Susan and her brother, Johnny, had a relatively normal childhood until their mother was killed in a car crash. Unable to save his wife, Dr. Storm left his practice and his family behind and turned to drinking and gambling and later landed himself in jail after killing a man he owed money to. Sue and Johnny were placed in the custody of their Aunt Marygay, but Sue was more of a mother figure to Johnny then anyone else. It was while in the care of their aunt that Sue first became acquainted with Reed Richards.

Personal History: Born to a doctor and a housewife, Susan Storm led a relatively normal childhood until a car accident took her mother from her, and the result of her mother's death took her father from her as well. Dr. Franklin Storm, after the death of his wife, turned to drinking and gambling, landing himself in jail when Sue and her brother, Johnny, were still children. Though they were cared for by their Aunt Marygay, Sue was essentially a mother-figure to Johnny after that.
While living with Aunt Marygay, Sue met Reed Richards, a brilliant (and not just in Sue's mind, he is brilliant) university student. After Reed graduated, their paths continued to cross through various means. Susan was completely infatuated with him - absent-minded professor behavior and all. It was during a highly experimental mission into space that problems for Sue, Johnny, Reed and his good friend, pilot Ben Grimms, started. Johnny, being Johnny, was screwing around at mission control, where Sue was doing a summer internship and Ben and Reed were preparing for take-off. Sue hunted Johnny down, only to have both of them chased down by security - they were stowaways on board the space ship when it took off into outer space. The experiment went awry and the quintet was exposed to high levels of cosmic radiation and the mission was aborted.
Back on Earth, Reed conducted experiments on the four, discovering that they all exhibited unique capabilities that seemed, for lack of a better phrase, out of this world. For Susan's part, when she was emotionally unstable, she would literally disappear in front of Reed's eyes. At seventeen, this was not something she could control with her unstable emotions and hormones and it became near impossible for her to attend high school. For Johnny's part, he found his ability to create fire too amusing and fascinating to ever pass up a display for friends. Reed was not much help either, as he had gone off to work as a professor at an undisclosed location - something that Susan never got over.
Before the end of that year, Sue and Johnny were visited by professors of a school for mutants with the front of being a school for gifted children. It was a safe haven for young students who couldn't control their abilities or mutations around humans. Johnny had no interest, but Susan was adamant that both go, to keep their Aunt safe and to learn how to control what had happened to them.
Susan finished high school at Xavier's Institute and has continued her education there as a college student, studying physics with none other then Dr. Reed Richards. As far as her powers are concerned, Susan has learned how to better control her emotions (note, better control, because what girl can always control her emotions??) and therefore her phasing into invisibility. By nineteen, she'd also learned how to project the invisibility to objects and people close to her. Over the past two years, experiments she's conducted with Reed and other professors have resulted in sparks in her body chemistry, creating a type of projected force field that Susan can create. It drains her considerably and until she can learn to control it, it is thought unwise and dangerous to attempt the force fields without supervision.
In late 2009, Susan and Reed finally admitting mutual feelings for one another that went deeper then just a student/teacher or family friendly relationship. They were able to keep the relationship a secret for the rest of the year, and at Christmas, Reed asked Sue to marry him, and of course she accepted his proposal. Just after the New Year, their relationship was made public during the Sentinel attacks. Reed was fired from the Institute and made the decision to head to New York City, to do research and develop, as well as become a public face for mutation - and he asked Sue to join him. After securing guardianship of Johnny so she could pull him from Xaviers, Susan and Johnny, along with Ben Grimm, went to work with Reed in New York, forming the Fantastic Four.
Susan and Reed were married (OK they eloped in Las Vegas) on January 29, 2010,
