It's quiet here, which is strange. Usually when Aunt Marygay invites us all for Thanksgiving - meaning me, Johnny, Reed and Ben - I can't hear myself think. Johnny has disappeared, probably off trying to charm some girl, while Ben and Reed are off in the garage trying to create a device to alter Ben's DNA, even for a couple of hours. I offered to help, but I think I got in the way of male-bonding time. I guess I could be using the time to work on the next phase of my final project - research and development, translation: a lot of typing.

I miss everyone. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving back at the mansion or with your families at home. I'll be back on Sunday!

[Text to Reed Richards]

It looks like we're going to have to find a new place to sneak out to. I went out for a run a few times this week and have noticed other students wandering to and from the boathouse. I think it's out of the question at this point. I miss you.

Rumors are circulating about what happened on the survival trip - sounds like the rest of us missed quite a time. Anyone want to talk about what happened or how you did? Is Professor Logan going to be grading you? I'm very curious about all of it.

[Lorna]
I started using the blood sample that Jean got from you. It's fascinating really, to see the genes up close and to see how much power you actually can wield. I'm going to talk to Dr. Richards about getting some blood from Alex too. Once Christopher is born, it could end up being useful, seeing two powerful parents combined to create a powerful child.

I have your siblings' blood, too and it's really intersting to see the similarities between you, Pierto and Wanda. Your dad must be pretty proud of himself to have produced three powerful children as he did - wonder what his grandchild is going to be like. Speaking of that, how is he taking the news that he's going to be a grandfather?

Tomorrow is my birthday, and it seems like it's going to go unnoticed. Honestly, that's fine by me. I've been present for enough extravaganzas around her to know that birthdays rarely go unnoticed, but I'm hoping to fly under the radar this year. I'm going to be 20, no longer a teenager in need of a blow out just because I was born on that day. I know what I would really like to do on my birthday, but I've been warned from the beginning not to write about it in the journals - even if I mark it 'private' it's not actually private from everyone. Things have been going really well and I would hate to ruin it because of a hacker. Anyway, 20 tomorrow, I wonder how not being a teenager changes things...

[Lorna]
I was wondering if your offer still stood to let me take some blood and run a couple of tests on Christopher. Maybe you could talk to your brother and sister about the project, too. Dr. Richards seems to think that the project would yield better results if I stuck to known mutant families and then I would have better DNA results to look at. I'll listen to him at this point because he's smarter then me and I need a good grade on this project. Let me know.
How are you? I miss you in class.

I had my convertable top down the other day when I went for a drive and it's cold! I don't think Johnny will be pleased to hear that I'm done with the top-down drives for the season. I've had to pull out my blankets for bed and I'm thinking about switching over to heavier sheets - it's freaking cold at night! Sometimes I think that applying to schools down South would be nice for next year - it's still in the 90s down in Florida! Thoughts? Comments?

Today is the first day of Autumn! I love this time of year - the weather is cooling off, the leaves are turning to beautiful colors and it's just a nice time of year. I love wearing jeans and sweaters, seeing jack-o-lanterns and I'm even looking forward to the mad holiday shopping rush! It's my favorite time of year!

Sorry Lorna, but this also means that my hair is no longer pink. It was fading anyway, so I let the stylist color over it. I'll color it again next summer, promise!

It might be juvenile, but I really wish I could update my Facebook relationship status. I'm even afraid to simply take down the fact that I'm single and just leave it blank - JP would pick right up on that. I'd better not write anymore.

[Lorna]
This is probably asking a lot, considering what you've been though, but I have to ask because I have to get underway with my final project. I want to know how you feel about my running tests on you and the baby throughout the year. I'm looking to see how you are effected and what genes you and Alex might have passed onto the baby. If my studies are any good, we might be able to pinpoint what mutation, if any, could be passed. Don't give me an answer now, think about it, but know that Dr. Richards is supervising all the tests and nothing would be evasive or harmful toward your son.
Love you!

So, who wants to be first to let me analyze their powers and X-Gene? If you were to volunteer, tests would include blood tests and analysis, physical exams including displays of your powers, and an interview. I would like to get a broad range of students, both with mutated genes and accidental inheritance of power. Who's first?

JP,

Who is Brian sucking face with? Seriously, yes, I want to know. I saw him this morning sporting quite the mark on his neck and I want to know who did it. I'm not crazy and I'm not some weird ex-girlfriend-stalker - I just want to know which girl he's moved on to. What do you know?

How were your classes today?

All right girls, it's Thursday and so far six of us are headed to the beach tomorrow morning. We have two cars now, so we have room for more! Anyone else want to join us? It's going to be the most relaxing, perfect weekend.

So far it's me, Lorna, Felicia, Paige, Elektra, and Thersea going. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get away for a few days! Thank Lorna - it was her idea to get away for awhile! Perfect way to relax before school starts again!

OK girls, and only girls, listen up: we need to get away this weekend. So, Lorna and I are planning a trip to the beach. We're renting a house in Seaside Heights, NJ (don't worry about rent expenses). Fabulous beaches, plenty of shops on the boardwalk and far enough away that it will feel like a vacation! We're leaving early Friday morning - it's a three-hour drive - and will be back on Monday evening.

So, girls, who's in?

Note: If more then five are going, we'll need a second driver.
1. Susan
2. Lorna
3. Felicia
4. Paige
5. Elektra
6. Thersea

JP,
Please answer your door. I haven't seen you in days. I want to talk to you, but I can't if you won't let me in.
At least tell me how your nose is. I feel so guilty about all of this.
I want to talk to you.

Well, I'm stumped - I can never figure out what makes that man tick. Dr. Richards created these amazing uniforms for Johnny and me and I cannot for the life of me figure out what they're made of. I've spent days doing research and experiments and nothing makes sense! What was he thinking?

Oh, and to make matters worse, the man seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet and I have no answers. I can't focus on anything else and I have a research project to start on because the summer is more than half over and I have nothing to show for the start of term.

No, I'm not freaking out.

After training on Tuesday, I'd like to stay and get some extra practice in. Once Cyclops leaves the sub-levels for the night, I'd like to try and create the force fields. I hope the rest of you can stay, especially Piotr. I appreciate all of your help.
